LTPO screen will be equipped on iPhone 14! Apple will make it done before 2022

According to reports, LG is working hard to increase the output of LTPO OLED, but did not clearly mention which iPhone 14 model this display is reserved for.

According to a report from The Elec, LG is reported to provide LTPS OLED screens for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, and is also working to increase the output of LTPO OLED.

However, previously announced information stated that the South Korean manufacturer may begin mass production of such displays in 2022, thereby competitively reducing Samsung’s market share.

And Samsung is still the only supplier of Apple’s high-end iPhone screens.

According to the new report, LG plans to convert its production line to LTPO and hopes to provide these devices to Apple next year.

If Apple keeps LG’s 60Hz LTPS screen for the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13, it is likely to also keep the product for its lower-priced iPhone 14 models.

Display analyst Ross Young also commented earlier that all iPhone models in 2022 will use LTPO OLED panels, indicating that customers will not have to pay a premium to experience the smoothness of 120Hz.

However, if you expect the iPhone 14 mini to use a high refresh rate LTPO OLED screen, you may be disappointed.

It is said that Apple will cancel the “mini” version in 2022 and instead focus on larger-screen iPhone models.

LTPO technology is currently being used on Apple Watch Series 6, so it is exciting that the company may include all iPhone 14 models in this popular upgrade.
