A brief summary of Apple MagSafe external battery

1. The external MagSafe battery does not support MagSafe wireless charging. If you want to charge it, you need to use the Lightning charging cable for wired charging.

The indicator light of the MagSafe external battery will turn yellow when charging starts, and it will turn green when fully charged.

2. The official recommendation is to use an adapter above 20W to charge MagSafe. It can be charged even if the power is not enough, but it is slow.

3. The external MagSafe battery will be automatically magnetically attracted and aligned with the rear case of the iPhone 12 series, and will automatically start charging after adsorption.

After taking it down, it will automatically stop charging and there is no physical switch.

4. The MagSafe external battery can charge the iPhone with a power of 5w. If an external Lightning charger of 20W or more is connected during adsorption, the MagSafe external battery can charge the iPhone 12 series with a power of 15W.

5. The iPhone 12 series needs to be upgraded to iOS 14.7 to use the MagSafe external battery. You can see the battery level of the MagSafe external battery in the battery widget.

6.You can charge the MagSafe external battery and iPhone at the same time.

Two methods: First, just plug the Lightning charging cable into the MagSafe external battery.

Second,  the charging cable is plugged into the iPhone, which means that the iPhone can reverse wirelessly charge the external battery of MagSafe.

7. The MagSafe external battery is the same as the previous smart battery case. It is still discharged first and then charged. When charging both of them, the phone will first charge to more than 80% before the MagSafe external battery will start charging.

8. This product can be used when iPhone 12 is running streaking or when wearing a MagSafe protective case. Non-MagSafe accessories need to be removed before use.

9. The phone will heat up when using the MagSafe external battery to charge. When it is overheated, it will automatically stop charging when it reaches 80%, and continue charging after the temperature drops.

10. MagSafe’s external battery has its own charging management system to ensure battery health when plugged into the charger for a long time.

11. Although the MagSafe external battery has a nominal capacity of only 1460mAh, its voltage has reached 7.62V and its energy has reached 11.13Wh. In fact, this energy is higher than the XS battery protective case.
