Google Meet’s free service has been extended to June 30

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, many schools and companies have changed to remote work and remote classes, causing a pandemic of video conferencing software. Google also announced in April 2020 that the free version of Google Meet will open unlimited video calls.

It was originally planned that this discount would expire at the end of September 2020. However, the epidemic has followed one after another, and Google announced that it will be extended to the end of March 2021.

Nowadays, although the world has begun to administer the vaccine, the epidemic is still raging. France is expected to block the country for four weeks from April 3, and the epidemic in many countries is still expanding.

Therefore, Google released the latest news a few days ago and will continue to extend the unlimited free Google Meet service until June 30.

As long as users have a Google account, they can use Google Meet video conferencing/video phone services through browsers, Android, and iOS apps without limit.

However, it should be noted that the so-called “unlimited” means that there is no limit to the number of calls per day. The call process is fully encrypted and there is no need to worry about being leaked. However, the call time of video calls is up to 24 hours, and the call will be automatically cut off after 24 hours.
