Here are my highly recommended gadgets for you if you wanna have a music studio

Regarding the computer, I chose Apple’s 15-inch MacBookPro. The Mac system is relatively stable compared to the Windows system.

As for the external monitor, I chose LG’s 27UL850, which has a 27-inch 4K screen, sRGB99% color gamut, and 10bit color depth. It also has a TypeC interface, which can provide 60W of power to the computer after connecting to the computer, and there is a USB interface at the back, which can be connected to a keyboard or something, can be lifted and tilted, or rotated into a vertical screen. Overall, it is a good display.

Sound card earphone speaker recommendation

Regarding the sound card, my choice is Apollo TwinX. This sound card is a Thunderbolt three interface, which is a perfect match with Apple computers. It is used because of UNISION technology, which can insert pre-amp plug-ins. It is said that it can simulate the smell of hardware. UAD’s plug-ins are very fragrant but a bit expensive.

Regarding the earphones, I chose SONY MDR-7506, a fully enclosed earphone, standard in the recording studio. It has been used for nine years. Recently, I bought a Beyerdynamic DT990Pro open earphone. But if you use it for recording, you must choose a fully enclosed type, otherwise the accompaniment will be recorded.

The speaker, my choice is Zenith’s 8010A, which is enough for my own desktop at home.

Midi keyboard recommendation

I chose the Arturia MKII 61-key, because I play the piano badly, and I don’t have any special requirements for the hand feel. Some of its transports and controllers are very convenient, and the appearance is also beautiful. I chose the MINI keyboard when I went out.

Microphone and accessories recommendation

The microphone I chose is AKG C414XLII, which is a very cost-effective microphone. It is best to choose a metal mesh for the blowout cover, and a nylon mesh will absorb a small amount of high frequency. SE’s wind screen can effectively reduce noise and reverberation, giving you a cleaner sound. I think it’s an artifact of bedroom recording.

Storage equipment and accessories

Lacie’s disk array, with some extensions, can solve the problem that Apple computers only have Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the reading speed is not bad. There is also a mobile solid-state hard drive, which contains all Kontakt audio sources. Raiden III’s docking station, you can buy it at will.

Software recommendation

I mainly use Cubase. There is no good or bad about software, only you are not used to it. For getting started, I recommend Logic. It is better to use FLStudio to make electronic music.
