Welcoming Earth Day, Razer Prepares USD 50 Million for Razer Green Fund

Razer, the leading lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced the launch of the USD 50 million Razer Green Fund and invested in The Nurturing Co. Pte. Ltd. (The Nurturing Co), a prize-winning startup company in the field of environmental welfare. The organization is known for creating BAMBOOLOO, one of the many products in the world that makes plastic-free, single-use bamboo toilet paper and home care products.

In March 2021, Razer announced a 10-year program focused on the environment as part of the #GoGreenWithRazer initiative, which breaks down into four points of Razer’s commitment to conserving nature and protecting the environment, including using 100% renewable energy by 2025 and reaching 100. % fuel carbon neutral by 2030. In this 10-year plan, Razer also announced another initiative under the Green Community, to educate and invite players around the world to contribute to the movement to protect the environment. These include the Sneki Snek campaign in collaboration with Conservation International to save 1 million trees which was a huge success and the limited collection of Kanagawa Wave’s clothing line made from recycled marine debris.

Support startup companies focused on environmental welfare through the Razer Green Fund

To celebrate Earth Day, and in line with Razer’s 10-year environmental sustainability program, Razer has set aside $ 50 million to support and invest in startup companies focused on environmental well-being. The Razer Green Fund will be managed by zVentures, the venture arm of Razer, and will form an integral part of Razer’s strategic investment activities.

Located under the Investment for the Environment program, the Razer Green Fund will seek to foster a mindset of protecting the environment in the youth, millennial, and Gen Z communities through certain investments. These investments will aim to accelerate the growth of companies focused on environmental welfare, focusing on renewable energy, plastics, and carbon management. Through the Razer Green Fund, startup companies can confidently come up with innovative technologies that will help to make the world a better place for the next generation.

Since the announcement of its 10-year environmental sustainability program, Razer has been inundated with requests for how a startup company can accelerate its green program movement, said Patricia Liu, Chief of Staff of Razer. The Razer Green Fund was founded to empower startup companies with positive intentions to advance their ambitions.

Razer is partnered with BAMBOOLOO

To kick-start its latest Green Fund initiative, Razer has completed an initial investment into The Nurturing Co. via zVentures. The partnership will enable BAMBOOLOO (The Nurturing Co.’s toilet paper brand) to deploy and supply toilet paper to several of Razer’s global offices, including the newest South East Asia main office and an office in Malaysia, as part of the Organization’s plans. Razer environment to ensure that all operations in Razer’s office are 100% carbon-free.

Bamboo pulp has proven to be a long-term choice for toilet paper. Apart from the speed at which it grows, bamboo pulp requires 90% less water and 70% less carbon to produce compared to wood pulp. By switching to toilet paper made of bamboo, a family of four can save more than 30,000 liters of water a year. BAMBOOLOO helps consumers move away from wood waste toilet products by offering bamboo toilet paper as well as other home care products.
