It is reported that the flexible foldable main screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will support a high refresh rate of 120Hz, the external screen will also become larger, and it will be equipped with three rear cameras and stereo speakers.
Compared with the previous generation of Galaxy Z Flip models, it is rumored that the biggest change in the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is a larger external screen and a three-camera module. In addition, the screen frame has also been further reduced.
Samsung seems to pay special attention to the thickness of the control device to further enhance the portability of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, with the narrowing of the frame, the operating feel of the physical keys has also been affected to a certain extent.
As a solution, Samsung is trying to increase the touch-sensitive area around the buttons, and it will take effect regardless of whether the device is turned on or not.
Last week, LetsGoDigital also discovered that Samsung had registered the Armor Frame trademark. This may mean that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 will become thinner and lighter, making the body frame stronger.
Interestingly, according to SamMobile’s revelations, Samsung may also introduce IP protection (dustproof and waterproof) for its new generation of folding screen mobile devices for the first time. As for whether it can reach the level of IP68 (or just splash-proof), it is currently unknown.
As for the screen size (1.83″ external screen + 6.8″ internal screen), many people hope that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be closer to Moto Razr (Samsung has filed a similar patent application), but there are still some uncertainties.
In terms of hinges, Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to almost eliminate the gap after folding, thereby preventing the accumulation of dust and dirt, and provide a variety of hinge colors (such as silver, gold, blue, and red on Z Fold 2).
In terms of processor, Galaxy Z Flip 3 may use Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G flagship SoC, supplemented by a 128GB / 256GB storage combination, and pre-installed with Android 11-based OneUI 3.5 software. However, in order to reduce the starting cost, the company may also launch a 4G derivative version.
In terms of taking pictures, the front camera may use the 10MP front camera on the Galaxy S21, and the rear 12MP wide-angle + 12MP ultra-wide-angle + zoom lens.
In terms of batteries, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 may use a 2300 mAh + 903 mAh dual-cell solution (models EB-BF711ABY and EB-BF712ABY), and even support 25W wired + 15W wireless charging power.
