Realme GT will receive Android 12 Beta this month

Since Google revealed all its plans for the next Android 12 update, today is the most important day of the year for Android enthusiasts. With the announcement, the company launched a Beta version plan for the new Android version, and many Android OEM manufacturers will participate in some selected smartphones. Realme joined the first batch of smartphones using Android 12, and Realme GT was selected for this very special job. According to the company’s press release, Chinese developers will be able to test Beta from today. Currently, the beta version is based on Realme UI 2.0, but once it stabilizes, the company will release it together with the Realme UI 3.0 appearance.

Last year, Realme chose its flagship product Realme X50 Pro as the first device for Android 11. Now, it’s time to get the same treatment for its first flagship product in 2021. Realme GT was released in China in early March, with its eye-catching specifications and very affordable prices. Unfortunately, the device has not yet entered the global market, but for now, Chinese developers will be able to test some of the advantages introduced by Android 12. We are particularly curious to see how Realme will implement some new features, such as a native theme engine.

Google has introduced many novelties on Android 12. The company has brought many changes to Material You, has a built-in smart theme engine, and will transform its Widgets many years later. The new upcoming version also brings many improvements regarding security and privacy. We are sure that companies such as Realme will adapt and benefit from these changes.

The company is currently busy launching Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 for many of its mid-range smartphones. However, when Google makes final adjustments to the final version, the company may continue to strictly develop Android 12. In the months leading up to the stable release in September 2021, the search giant will still bring more beta versions. We expect Realme GT will also follow these beta versions.
