Review on Xiaomi Mi 11i–With Snapdragon 888, no one can doubt its king status

The appearance of Mi 11i is actually exactly the same as Poco F3, even the measurements and weight are the same. The only difference is the XIAOMI and POCO brand logos on the phone.

The Mi 11i adopts a flat screen design. The selfie camera is hidden in an ultra-small hole punched in the center of the screen. The official said it is only 2.76mm, which is a small dot with almost no sense of existence, which will not affect the viewing experience.

And many people prefer flat screens, because they have fewer false touches and cropped screens than curved screens.

Unlike the two mobile phone models of the Mi 11 series that have under-screen fingerprints, Mi 11i uses the fingerprint reader on the upper side of the phone, and the physical buttons are the power and volume keys that double as the fingerprint reader.

Then there are speakers and a USB-C placed on the top and bottom of the camera. Both Xiaomi Mi 11 and 11 Ultra have emphasized Harman Kardon tuning, which does not appear on the 11i. It sounds like there is no big difference. It may be that the design of the mobile phone hardware is similar.

Then there is the performance of the screen itself. Mi 11i uses a 6.67-inch FHD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED panel.

There will also be 120Hz high refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ and other features, but the color accuracy will be relaxed to JNCD≈0.36, △E≈0.35.

But it looks bright and beautiful, and it also has DisplayMate A+ certification, so it looks very comfortable and beautiful.

Speaking of the screen and body, the front and back of the Xiaomi 11i use Corning Gorilla Glass 5. After all, the risk of broken screens on flat screens is still relatively low, so it is not a problem to not have the latest Vitus.

The three-camera camera module on the back of the camera looks like the Poco F3, with a thick one protruding out. Compared with the above picture, the presence is not inferior to the extra-large camera module of the Xiaomi 11 Ultra.

In terms of camera

The camera configuration of Mi 11i is unexpectedly upgraded.

In the Poco F3 style three-camera combination on the back of the camera, the wide-angle camera is a 108MP 7P lens camera that supports 9-in-one pixels, which is more advanced than the Mi 11 108MP wide-angle camera (2.1μm vs 1.6μm) which only has a four-in-one.

Especially in night scenes and low light environments, the performance will be better.

The picture below shows the hair of a cat in night scene mode. It can be seen that the hair on the right picture is more three-dimensional and the color is more natural.

The 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and the 5MP telephoto macro camera are the same as the Poco F3.

Hardware specifications / performance

Xiaomi 11i is equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, but it will only have 8GB RAM, with 128GB and 256GB storage space versions. It also supports 5G dual card dual standby, without microSD card expansion.

The built-in battery is a relatively weak 4520mAh, and the fast charge power is only 33W.

Not surprisingly, Xiaomi 11i still has the problem of heating up the S888 mobile phone. If you play for a long time and run the evaluation tool, you will feel the position of the processor on the top of the phone and it will be hot.

The specific evaluation scores are: PC Mark2.0: 13378; Geekbench 5 Single Core / Multi Core are 1,114 and 3221 respectively. The score is similar to that of Xiaomi Mi 11, after all, there is only the difference in memory.

To sum up

Compared with the 5000 Hong Kong dollar price of Xiaomi 11, some of the weakened parts mentioned above will naturally become a very reasonable price.

In this way, Mi 11i is especially suitable for friends who are targeting flagship processors, but whose budget is not enough to get a standard Mi 11 mobile phone.
