According to official information, the Redmi K50 series is the world’s first Dimensity 8100 processor. This chip uses TSMC’s 5nm process and consists of four Cortex A78 large cores and four Cortex A55 small cores. The GPU is a six-core Mali-G610. The benchmark is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
MediaTek data shows that compared with competing products of the same level, the Dimensity 8100 has 12% higher CPU multi-core performance, 44% higher multi-core energy efficiency, 4% higher GPU performance, 35% higher energy efficiency, and 39% higher APU AI energy efficiency benchmarks.
Lu Weibing said that the performance of the Dimensity 8100 far exceeded expectations. It is worth noting that, according to @Digital Chat Station, there are three models in the K50 series. The first launch of the Dimensity 8100 is the Redmi K50 Pro, the standard version of the Redmi K50 is equipped with the Snapdragon 870, and the top version of the K50 Pro+ is equipped with the Dimensity 9000.
The three mobile phones will be released in mid-to-late March, and they have already obtained the permission to access the Internet, just waiting for the official announcement from Redmi.
