At the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 new product launch conference, the MIUI 12.5 enhanced version was officially released. The first batch of upgraded models include: Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10S, Mi 10, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40, Redmi K30S Extreme Edition, Redmi K30 Pro.

According to the Xiaomi community, MIUI has now launched the pure mode internal test application channel, with a total of 500,000 places.

Officials said that they have received many feedbacks on app installation issues recently.

After research, Android open source does bring a more open and free market, but it also makes risks easier to emerge and spread.

Among the applications installed daily through the application package management component, 40% have never passed Xiaomi’s security audit, and 10% have been identified as risky applications by Xiaomi’s security audit.

The official emphasized that openness does not mean disorder. Xiaomi has always regarded user information security and privacy protection as the foundation of survival.

We hereby introduce a pure mode to solve the installation problems of risky or unknown applications.

It is understood that the pure mode is a brand-new system installation mode, which can effectively prevent the risk of missteps, misoperations and other behaviors or the installation of unknown applications.

It is worth mentioning that this mode can be turned off at any time, and the mode can be turned on or off at your own discretion.

It is reported that the MIUI pure mode internal test will start on September 6, and 1,000 places will be applied and distributed every day for 5 consecutive days. After that, internal test packages will be issued irregularly and quantitatively.

The registration time for the MIUI Pure Mode internal test is from September 3, 2021 to September 17, 2021.
