Today, OnePlus announced the upcoming release of the new Nord series, OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
According to official information, OnePlus will be the first to carry the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 custom chip.
Unlike the previously released Dimensity 1200 models, the OnePlus Nord 2 uses a customized version of Dimensity 1200 chips, which has been significantly upgraded in terms of AI.
It is reported that the customized version of Dimensity 1200 is derived from MediaTek’s Dimensity 5G open architecture. According to MediaTek, Dimensity’s 5G open architecture is an in-depth cooperation between MediaTek and smartphone manufacturers to bring a new and more personalized experience, enabling device manufacturers to create differentiated flagship or high-end 5G smartphones.
Specifically, manufacturers can freely customize the workload distribution of ISP, AI, wireless connection, and various processing units such as CPU and GPU in the chip.
Through deep customization, OnePlus Nord 2 will bring a brand new experience. The poster shows that OnePlus Nord 2 emphasizes AI, indicating that the AI performance of the OnePlus Nord 2 will be a major attraction of the machine.
This new smartphone will officially debut in late July, and we will wait and see.
