The new Rog Strix Scar series comes in 15-inch and 17-inch versions. The difference is the size of the screen, as well as the size of the body, but both are thinner and lighter than the previous models. They are both 27mm thick, the 15-inch version weighs 2.3kg and the 17-inch version weighs 2.6kg. The Scar 15 comes with a 15.6-inch 1080p screen and a high refresh rate of 300 Hz.The SCAR 17 has a 17.3 1080p high refresh screen with a higher 360 Hz refresh rate.If the resolution isn’t enough, both models have the option of 2K 165Hz high refresh, and all screens offer 100%DCI-P3 color gamut.
The material used for the internal cooling module is not mentioned, but it is revealed that it uses a quieter fan, which can increase air flow by 35%, as well as a newly developed liquid metal heat conduction being adopted. In terms of specs, it comes with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, 16 GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. The entry-level model comes with the Ryzen 7 5800H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card.
