Honor will launch the Honor 50 series in mid-June, which is also the company’s second flagship mobile phone after the breakup with Huawei.
GSMArena released some high-definition renderings of Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro before the press conference. Although Honor has separated from Huawei, Honor 50 is largely affected by Huawei P50 in terms of design.
There are two large circular camera modules on the back of the two new Honor 50 models, which contain a total of 3 cameras, the upper module has a large lens, and the remaining 2 lenses are set in the lower module.
It is reported that Honor 50 Pro is equipped with a 108MP main lens, while Honor 50 uses a lower 50MP lens. According to the label on the lens, the main lens aperture of both phones is f/1.8.
Although the specifications of other lenses are not yet known, we guess that they may be equipped with ultra-wide-angle and macro lenses, and we also expect to see the emergence of telephoto lenses on the Pro models.
The source of GSMArena stated that the Honor 50 series will focus on the experience of Vlog users, so we can expect a better front camera.
As Honor Germany hinted on Twitter, Honor 50 may be Honor’s first flagship phone with Google Mobile Services (GMS) pre-installed. Looking back, the last Honor flagship phone with GMS is Honor 20 series, which was released in 2019.
In terms of processor, Honor 50 is expected to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chip, while Pro models will use Snapdragon 888 chip. There are rumors that Honor 50 Pro + will be equipped with a Quad HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of charging performance, there is evidence that the new series of mobile phones can support up to 100W wired fast charging, and a leaked picture of 100W Honor SuperCharge charger also seems to support this statement.
The charger still uses the USB-A jack, but there is news that a 100W charger will be sold in addition, and only a 66W charger can be included in the box.
