New emperor kicks out the previous one? Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro vs Apple AirPods Pro!

When it comes to the wireless earphones, people would always think about Apple AirPods. Well..that is normal, after all Apple is the emperor of the electronic items. But, guys, the emperor status of Apple now would be shaken by Xiaomi in all aspects, including the wireless earphones.

So, guys, today, we will make a comparison between Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro and Apple AirPods Pro.

Regarding the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro

Xiaomi just announced its latest TWS earphones called FlipBuds Pro. They are the first audio accessory of the company with actual Active Noise Cancellation, and bring an 11mm driver and a dedicated flagship audio chip by Qualcomm.

The ANC can tone down the surrounding noise to 40dB, which Xiaomi compares to the volume of the noise in a library. The FlipBuds Pro have three microphones – one is taking in the voice of the speaker during a call, another is listening for external noise and isolating it, while the third is making sure the user’s voice isn’t accidentally muted.

This is all enabled by the QCC5151 Bluetooth chip which listens and filters environmental sounds, so the wind doesn’t get accidentally picked up, ruining the audio experience. Bluetooth 5.2 is available for connectivity and thanks to this chip the FlipBuds Pro also support aptX Adaptive Dynamic Codec Protocol.

The FlipBuds Pro have a low-latency feature as long as you have select Xiaomi smartphones – Mi Mix Fold, Mi 11 series, Mi 10 series, Redmi K40 series, Remdi K30 series, Redmi Note 9 Pro.

The battery capacity of the Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro is not mentioned on the official website, but the brand claims 7 hours on a single charge and 28 hours of total playtime. The case has a USB-C charging port but also supports wireless charging.

As for the AirPods Pro

AirPods Pro feature the same general design language as the original AirPods, but are notably different thanks to new flexible silicone tips that are designed to fit tightly within the ear to allow for noise cancellation technology.

The silicone tips come in three sizes to ensure a comfortable fit in most ears. Apple says the tips have been designed to conform to the contours of each individual ear, offering both comfort and a better seal, which is important for noise cancellation.

The tips come in small, medium, and large, and each tip clicks right into place on the AirPods Pro, making them easy to swap out. Each tip is internally tapered to conform to the shape of the inner ear to keep the AirPods Pro securely in place.

AirPods Pro measure in at 21.8mm wide and 30.9mm tall, so they’re wider than the original AirPods (which are 16.5mm) but they’re not as tall (AirPods are 40.5mm tall) as the stems are shorter.

AirPods Pro are Apple’s first in-ear earbuds that feature Active Noise Cancellation technology, but Apple has previously used ANC in its on-ear Beats headphones.

Active Noise Cancellation leverages two microphones and Apple’s advanced software algorithms to adapt sound to each individual’s ear.

Apple included a Transparency mode option that lets users who are worried about Active Noise Cancellation drowning out sound listen to the environment around them.

Transparency mode takes advantage of the vent system in the AirPods Pro to tone down the Active Noise Cancellation so AirPods Pro owners can listen for traffic, hear train announcements, and more while continuing to listen to music, podcasts, and more.

Generally speaking, both the two wireless earphones are excellent! However, in terms of the cost-effectiveness, Xiaomi actually has a greater advantage than Apple.

So, as far as I am concerned, Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro is the winner!
