It is worth mentioning that the new MacBook Air may also be equipped with a new generation of Apple’s self-developed processor, which may be named M2 chip, using TSMC’s second-generation 5nm process, which reduces power consumption by 10% compared to the first-generation and the performance increased by 5%.
Although the chip manufacturing process has not changed, it is reported that Apple may further increase the number of cores, such as 12-core, 16-core, etc. The final performance will bring an effective improvement.
